Refund policy

We have a 7-day exchange or return for in store credit policy, which means you have 7 days after receiving your item to request a return & post mark your package. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

To start a return, you can contact us at contact@jjmusicsales.com. Please note that all returns will need to be authorized by JJ Music Sales and will need to be sent to a specific address.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a RMA #, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return authorization will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as strings or any items with a expiration date), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and cleaning and maintenance products such as polish, oils. We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item. 

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the in store credit was approved or not. If approved, you’ll have a credit on your account at JJ MUSIC SALES within 10 business days.

Quality assurance guarantee

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from JJ Music Sales, simply return it to us within 7 days from the invoice date for purchases made in store or 7 Days from the day you received the item for purchases made online & we’ll gladly help you find the right instrument. If not we will issue a in store credit with no expiration. We accept returns and exchanges within 7 calendar days from the date of purchase for unopened product(s) in original condition and packaging.  We will even help you to send it back by utilizing our shipping providers which greatly reduces the cost of a return. If you received free shipping on you order, shipping will be deducted off you return amount. 

1. Call 1 (226) 503-9317 for a return authorization number.

2. Re-pack the item in new condition. Please double box item including its original packaging (including all inserts, plastic bags, manuals and accessories) and send it back to us, return postage must be paid by the customer.

3. Please ensure to REMOVE or strikeout any existing ship labels

NOTE: Please do not use DUCK tape or any other colour tape when returning packages....clear box tape only is the best choice to avoid damage to your packaging.

Factory Sealed Products in like new condition will receive an exchange or in store credit, subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee, Free shipping and discounted shipping offer amounts will be deducted from your credited value. Items deemed as "special order or final sale” & customer made or modified items will not be accepted for returned or exchange for any reason. Damaged or defective items must be reported immediately upon receipt. Failure to report defects or damages within 24 hours of receiving your order will nullify this guarantee. Items shipped to the USA do not qualify for exchange or return offer.

Opened non-defective product returns and exchanges are subject to a minimum 20% restocking fee, and up to 25% restocking fee depending on Manufacturer. Free shipping and discounted shipping offer amounts will be deducted from your credited value. Items with damaged or missing boxes, accessories or manuals are subject to additional costs which are levied per item.  Ask your sales representative if you are unsure how these fees may apply to your return.

Cancelled orders will receive an exchange or in store credit & subject to a minimum 20% cancellation fee.

  • Computer software and items bundled with computer software may not be returned. No returns on computer software & licenses, CD’s, DVD’s, downloaded & print music. Due to copyright laws, you may exchange these items for the same title if the original is defective.

Protection of Artist's Copyrighted Work

JJ Music Sales upholds Canadian and International Copyright Laws to protect the rights of artists that make music. Copyright Law prohibits reproduction by means of photocopying, handwriting, printing, or taking photographic images of copyrighted printed materials. In support of those who create and publish copyrighted works, there are absolutely no refunds or exchanges on printed music. Once print music has been purchased it is considered used and cannot be re-sold.

Returns, Exchanges, Cancel Orders, Credits and Title


JJMusicSales.com does not take title to returned items until the item arrives at our warehouse. At our discretion, a instore credit may be issued without requiring a return. In this situation, JJMusicSales.com does not take title to the returned item.

PRODUCT RETURNS - IMPORTANT NOTICE

All returns must be approved IN ADVANCE by our retail team and must have have a valid Return Authorization number (RA NUMBER) assigned by our retail staff. Items shipped back to us without a valid RA number will be refused and returned at your expense. Please ensure your RA number is clearly indicated on the outside of your box in black marker.

Returns to our retail location. Our retail centers frequently have special offers and exclusive savings not available online. These outlets also have display models and or featured items which may not be eligible for refund. If you made a purchase at our retail locations we will gladly provide you with a 7 day exchange or store credit and all other terms and conditions shall apply.

No returns or exchanges are allowed on customized, configure-to-order, special orders, blank media, consumables, clearance items, and products labeled as "No Return" or "Final Sale" under any circumstance.

All special order items are 100% guaranteed to be free of defects by the manufacturer. Since these item(s) are specifically ordered for you, they cannot be returned for credit or exchange.

Your original receipt is required along with a valid ID for all returns, exchanges, and warranty repair services.

All products are covered by manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise noted.

No refunds on labour or installation services.

90 Day Layaway, 25% Deposit & balance paid in full over the next 90 days. Monthly payment is required to keep Layaway active. Deposit paid for Layaway is forfeited if sale in not completed.
